I've had a little extra time on my hands the last couple of weeks and while cleaning up my photo files on my computer, I threw together a slideshow of the little kiddo photos from the past year. Most of these are just candids, which is my favorite way to shoot. Hope you enjoy:)

Since we ran out of daylight in Destin Beach the night of their wedding, we met again yesterday at the Botanical Gardens and also hit Florida Field for some more photos.

While in Destin Beach a few weeks ago shooting a wedding with my friend Matt, we headed out to the beach to also get a few shots of his family. His little guy didn't want any part of "family portraits"...all he wanted was to get in that water!

They were awakened at 2:30 a.m. this morning by someone beating on their front door. When they looked out the window, this is what they saw...
A neighbor and fire marshal was at their door letting them know to be prepared to evacuate if needed. Luckily, they haven't had to leave yet.

Those of you who know me personally, know that I just love this guy and his girlfriend Allie. He's been on a 28 city Free To Succeed tour around the U.S. with Adobe and Couture Book, and his own company SHOWIT, traveling on this incredible tour bus! After the show, they invited me to have dinner and hang out with them on the bus. It was great to visit with him and Allie and meet the rest of the crew.

All the best to the MacKenzie Family as they get settled into their new jobs and home in California. Here's a few quick photos we did the night before they started their journey across the country. Unfortunately, their moving company(with all their belongings) decided not to make the same trip...

Best Friends

Finally the rain has stopped and we were able to get back to school and get on with things. Kim and I took the girls over to the Baughman Center and Lake Alice for a little photo session. We wanted to take some pictures out by the lake, but as soon as we walked over, we spotted an alligator very close to land so we turned ourselves right around.

Linda Holloway

October 19, 1944 - July 25, 2008

I remember the first time I met Linda. Our friends Bobby and Paula had just brought home their newborn, and Ron and I went over to say hello and welcome the new baby. Linda was the proud new grandmother …and oh was she proud. I'm trying to think how best describes Linda, and the word CHIHUAHUA comes to mind; small, FEISTY, loyal, protective of her own, did I say FEISTY yet? :) I absolutely loved being around her and her family. She and her husband Raymond perfected the ever-so-normal husband and wife kidding and friendly bickering with each other. They were hilarious! And I can't think of a better time I've ever had than the time we all played the board games Scategories and Taboo together many years ago. Oh My Gosh!! I can't even tell you how hard I laughed...(and those of you who know me, know what this means). As you can see from the pictures below, there was always a lot of laughter.

Linda and her husband Raymond lived in the town of Sneads their entire lives. She and her best friend Barbara "ran the town" from city hall for over 30 years. They lived very close to each other, worked together, retired together, and sadly passed away within just a couple of months of each other.

Linda, we will miss you. Thank you for always treating my family like a part of yours.

Linda's friend and fellow church member, Melissa Craven, sang this song so beautifully at Linda's funeral service.
