Thank God For Kids
Monday, December 8, 2008
Here's an email I got from a friend. Take a look around and vote for your favorite tree. Her tree is #8. Thanks everybody!
Emily's email:
As you all know, I work for Christian World Adoption. We are trying to build Acacia Village in Ethiopia to help kids: http://www.acaciavillage.org/ and can use all the donations we can get. In lieu of giving money, here is something easy you all can do to help! Please visit the link below and vote for CWA's Christmas tree, on display in the Asheville airport. The group with the most votes will get $2000--this is money we will put towards Acacia Village, so your simple vote could mean a donation for this project! Please see the flier below:
Would you like to help Acacia Village, but money is tight? Well, here is an opportunity to help raise money for Acacia Village by simply casting your vote in a Christmas charity tree display contest. Here's how: A local printing company has sponsored and decorated a Christmas tree to benefit Acacia Village. The winner of the display contest will receive a $2000 donation to the charity they choose. Winning is based upon how many people vote for a tree.
Go to: http://www.flyavl.com/announcements/holiday-tree-contest.htmlOur tree is sponsored by Hendersonville Printing Company (HPC). Scroll down the
page to the 8th tree listed. At the bottom of the page is the voting form. Cast your vote for #8, and you will have helped us move toward helping more children in Ethiopia.
One more thing: please pass this email on to your family and friends, and let's make a difference together! One last way to help is to donate to our new Food4Kids project: http://www.christianworldfoundation.org/food4kids/food4kids.htm. We are setting up a food bank on the Acacia Village land while we're still in the fund raising stages. The money you donate will be used to feed children in Ethiopia, who are currently experiencing a famine. I care greatly about these projects and these children, so please take the time to check them out.
Many thanks, and God bless you!

While in Destin Beach a few weeks ago shooting a wedding with my friend Matt, we headed out to the beach to also get a few shots of his family. His little guy didn't want any part of "family portraits"...all he wanted was to get in that water!

Welcome to California
Remember The Mackenzie Family?
They were awakened at 2:30 a.m. this morning by someone beating on their front door. When they looked out the window, this is what they saw...
A neighbor and fire marshal was at their door letting them know to be prepared to evacuate if needed. Luckily, they haven't had to leave yet.

David Jay and Allie
Those of you who know me personally, know that I just love this guy and his girlfriend Allie. He's been on a 28 city Free To Succeed tour around the U.S. with Adobe and Couture Book, and his own company SHOWIT, traveling on this incredible tour bus! After the show, they invited me to have dinner and hang out with them on the bus. It was great to visit with him and Allie and meet the rest of the crew.
